LACCIOLAND COMPANY

Laccioland Company was founded in 2012 as a new experiment in analyzing and developing urban dance. The starting point is the purity of hip hop technique, but what is transformed is the destination: a new language is sought and found, shaped over time through the bodily experience of Laccio.

This is precisely where the company’s name comes from: Laccioland Company, because more than ever, it is the language of its choreographer that is being showcased. Laccioland, because a new message is danced, born from the repeated experimentation of urban techniques, which take form and color through the contamination of movement. An independent company, composed of young men only. Laccioland Company made its debut with its first production, “CRE/AZIONE,” in Catania at Scenario Pubblico, National Dance Production Center. The company has participated in various national and international festivals and events, including Idaco in New York.
